School Service and Outreach
As a part of our Mission statement, we are committed to service in a nurturing, Christ-centered environment. In order to incorporate the practice of generosity and charity in our teaching of Catholic values, our students also help many people in the following programs:
  1. Respect Life – usually in October. St. Theresa Catholic School promotes respect for life through fundraising and awareness-raising efforts in collaboration with the Respect Life office of the Archdiocese of Miami. This supports expectant mothers who choose life for their children.
  2. In conjunction with the Knights of Columbus, students bring non-perishable food items for families who have a very difficult time in the non-growing seasons. In December we cooperate with the Knights of Columbus by giving toys and Christmas gifts for these children.
  3. Students also help with personal care supplies for homeless people. Through these opportunities the school hopes to instill an ongoing sense of generosity and personal self-giving.
  4. Students at all different age levels learn about giving to others through a variety of activities. Pre K 4 students participate in an annual Trike-a-Thon to benefit the children of St. Jude Hospital. Our children raise the most funds through this activity than any other school in the nation.
